- Kitchens, bathrooms, lounges, hallways and stairs
- Patio, path, decking and feature lighting outside
- Dimmers, zoned switching and PIR sensors where you want them
Lighting is the quickest way to change how a place feels, and it is usually the cheapest job on the list that makes the biggest difference. We do the lot, indoors and out, whether that is one kitchen ceiling, relighting the whole house, or a scheme for the garden.
Inside, swapping tired pendants and halogen spots for modern LED fittings lifts a room and knocks a fair bit off the lighting bill. We fit fire-rated downlights as standard, which keeps the ceiling’s fire protection intact, something a lot of people do not realise matters until an EICR flags it. We plan the layout so you get even light without the runway-of-spots look, sort dimmers and zoned switching where it makes sense, and pick the right colour temperature so your kitchen does not feel like an operating theatre. For bathrooms we use the correct IP-rated fittings for the zone they are in.
Outside, a bit of well-placed lighting turns a garden from somewhere you only see in summer into a proper outdoor room: low-level path and step lights, spots picking out trees, a brighter wash over the patio or decking. Outdoor work is all about doing it right so it lasts, so we use proper IP-rated weatherproof fittings, run steel-wired armoured cable where it is buried, and protect everything on an RCD so a bit of damp does not leave you in the dark. PIR sensors for security lighting at the side and back, or a timer so it is not burning all night, are easy to wire in at the same time.
Tell us which rooms, or how you would like to use the garden, and we will come up with a scheme and a price that fits.
